In cadrul proiectului au fost prelucrate probe de diverse matrice în vederea identificării unor agenți infecțioși. Analiza acestora se poate realiza prin cultură, dar această metodă deşi este mai uşoară, este laborioasă și durează mai mult. Stabilirea unui diagnostic trebuie să se facă rapid astfel încât riscul pentru pacienţi să fie cât mai redus, iar intervenţia medicală, să se facă rapid. Totodată, se previne astfel riscul răspândirii acesteia.
Testul Real Time PCR dezvoltat prin acest proiect va ajuta la detectarea rapidă a contaminării cu Salmonella spp.
Totodată, în cadrul proiectului sunt în lucru probe de sânge prelevate de la câini, pentru detectarea Leishmaniei spp.
Within the project, samples of various matrices were processed in order to identify infectious agents. Their analysis can be done by culture, but this method, although easier, is laborious and takes longer.
